Albany, New York –From September through November 2020, Lia Auto Group initiated a campaign to collect school supplies for the local Albany and Schenectady County elementary schools. This initiative was an effort to ease the burden on school faculty and parents as they entered a school year with a sharing-free or no contact classroom environment.
With the help of the community, customers and the Lia family, we were able to provide thousands of essential school and PPE supplies to deserving children and staff at elementary schools in Albany and Schenectady counties. Everything from notebooks to glue, hand sanitizer and crayons. Supplies were delivered and welcomed with open arms during the week of November 9th.
“We are honored to have played a role in providing much needed items to Capital Region Elementary schools during the Covid-19 pandemic and are thrilled with its success. Thank you, again to our community and valued customers.” said Michael Lia, Co-Owner, Lia Auto Group. Also a special thank you to Bocchi laboratory for the generous donation of hand sanitizers and hand soaps.
