Company History

Lia Auto Group is one of the top 100 automotive groups in the country, established in 1977 by Bill Lia Sr.

Over the years, Bill’s sons Michael, Bill Jr, and Vincent were transitioned into co-owners and have contributed to large expansions within the company. Under their leadership, the Lia Group has grown to include more than 1,500 employees.

Amassing 21 dealerships throughout New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts, Lia is proud to offer a variety of manufacturers to our customers including Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, Nissan, Infiniti, Volkswagen, and Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram (CJDR). Lia also provides rental and full-body repair services at the Lia Collision Center in Colonie, NY.

In 2018, Lia Group Services was established as a sister business to the dealerships. Offering homeowner and auto insurance with renters, watercraft, motorcycle, and other personal lines of insurance falling under the coverage umbrella, Lia is a convenient one-stop shop for their customers.

With the understanding that part of their success is attributed to giving back, the Lia family is always looking to support their communities.
