The breakout pop-rock artist Madison VanDenburg just finished her Junior year at Shaker High School in Latham, New York. She recently gained national attention as she earned second runner up on Season Two of ABC’s hit show American Idol. In doing so, she has joined the ranks of other Idol superstars including Jennifer Hudson, Adam Lambert, Clay Aiken and Chris Daughtry. Throughout her entire school career, the teen has found interest in elite musical groups and excelled in her music classes. Taking classical lessons, VanDenburg has been playing piano and guitar for most of her life, but her greatest passion lies in singing and songwriting. She realized that she loved performing in front of crowds at a young age. Upon receiving a standing ovation at the completion of her solo in a sixth-grade production of Annie, Madison was hooked. She loved performing, but she loved the crowd's reaction even more.
Hard work and dedication have always been at the heart of everything Madison. While still diligently pursuing her musical education at Modern Day Music School, she also began consistently playing live music at her father's restaurant. During this time she not only expanded her musical base and talent but also had a chance to learn the ropes of the music business.
Also from Latham, New York, many well-known industry professionals have called Moriah Formica the future of rock. At the early age of seven, she would spend hours in her room listening to Aerosmith and teaching herself how to play guitar. On Saturday mornings it was a tradition to watch MTV Pop Up Videos and That Metal Show with her Dad. These interactions sparked her love for music and gave birth to a dream of returning guitar-driven rock to mainstream music. In 2014, at the age of sixteen, Formica also performed on NBC’s The Voice as part of Team Miley [Cyrus], where she made it to the Top 20. She later made an appearance on American Idol season two alongside Madison. Formica’s powerful performances on The Voice received high praise from the judges such as: “You are the next great female rock singer" from Maroon5 frontman Adam Levine and "You're a rock goddess" from pop princess Miley Cyrus.

Since then, Moriah has received accolades and support for her performances from some of metal and rock's current front-women including Lzzy Hale of Halestorm and Maria Brink of In This Moment. At the young age of 18, Moriah has already made name for herself in the music industry. This past summer, a dream came true for Moriah when she performed in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Moorehead, Minnesota on the same bill as Joan Jett and Halestorm.
