Lia Auto Group Commits Financial Support to Sisters of Carondolet

 The Sisters of of Saint Joseph of Carondolet recently announced the construction of a new PACE center on the grounds of their Provincial House in Latham, NY. To complete this undertaking, the Sisters have embarked on their funding campaign, Continuing the Legacy.In response, the Lia Auto Group is proud to announce their financial support to the Sisters of of St Joseph of Carondolet and the local community. A total amount of $25,000 has been earmarked to assist over the next three years with the construction. PACE is an acronym for Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly. This new center will not only help aging Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondolet, but the surrounding communities as well. According to Sherri Wolken, Executive Director of Eddy Seniorcare PACE, there are 1,500 senior citizens in the areas around Provincial House who could benefit greatly from PACE. The goal of the PACE program is to allow older adults to manage their medical conditions within a community environment. In doing so, they are able to maintain as much of an independent lifestyle as possible. The Lia Auto Group is proud to support such an initiative with such positive goals. The PACE program gives members Medicaid and Medicare-covered benefits. These include meals, personal care, coverage for medical specialists, nursing, inpatient hospitalization, physicians, nursing home care, social work, and rehabilitation. In addition to all these direct medical benefits, PACE includes transportation as well. PACE comes and picks them up to bring them out for daily activities, social experiences, physical therapy sessions and more.
