Northampton, Massachusetts – Lia Toyota of Northampton donated $25 for every test drive taken through the end of April to raise funds for the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts Spring Food Drive. Myron Callender presented a check for $10,000 during a check presentation that will took at 10:30a on May 20th at Lia Toyota of Northampton, located at 280 King Street, Northampton, Massachusetts.
The money Lia raised went towards 100,000 meals. The Food Drive took place on April 22 and 23, 2021.
“We are thrilled to have been a part of the food drive, helping out those in need of food in Hampshire County”, said Michael Lia, Co-Owner, Lia Auto Group.
The Food Bank believes that everyone has the right to healthy food regardless of their circumstances. The Food Bank’s mission is to feed neighbors in need and lead the community to end hunger. The organization distributes healthy food to 171 independent pantries, meal sites and shelters in Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden, and Hampshire counties on the front lines of emergency food assistance. These partnering organizations provide sustenance to individuals, families, seniors, children, and people with disabilities (including veterans) to lead healthy and meaningful lives.
