The Make-A-Wish® foundation grants the wishes of every child diagnosed with a critical illness through the help of volunteers, donors, and supporters. In the United States, a wish is granted about every half hour. They believe that a wish experience can be a game-changer. This one belief inspires them to grant wishes that change the lives of children. The Lia Auto Group is once again providing support to this amazing cause as they provide a $5,000 donation to Make-A-Wish® for Swish Night coming up on March 30, 2019 at which Lia Toyota of Northampton is an Elite Eight Wish Partner. Swish Night offers basketball fans the opportunity to watch championship college basketball games while helping to bring joy to children with critical illnesses. During a brief mission-based program, guests will hear a firsthand account of the life-changing impact of a wish fulfilled. Last year over 250 guests gathered at this amazing event for an evening of championship college basketball. In one evening they raised more than $132,000 to grant wishes for children with critical illnesses in Western Massachusetts. Guests had the chance to me with wish children such as Avery, a four-year-old boy who wished for a swimming pool; Ella, 8, who wished to go to Walt Disney World® Resort; and Ryan, seven, who wished for a backyard football field.
