Albany, New York- The Lia Auto Group is proud to have sponsored the American Diabetes Association’s ‘Golf FORE Diabetes’ Golf Tournament with a $1,000 donation. The American Diabetes Association's Albany office is so committed to educating the public about how to stop diabetes and support those living with the disease. They lead the fight against the deadly consequences of diabetes and fight for those affected by diabetes. 

New Yorkers are increasingly feeling the effects of diabetes as over 2 million suffer from the disease, and many others may have diabetes and not know it! The moving force behind the work of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) is a network of more than 565,000 volunteers, their families and caregivers, a professional society of nearly 20,000 health care professionals, as well as more than 250 staff members. They envision a life free of diabetes and all its burdens with a mission to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by the disease. Not only does the ADA fund research to prevent, cue and manage diabetes but they deliver services to hundreds of communities, provide objective and credible information and give a voice to those denied their rights because of this disease.

This year the Lia Auto Group is proud to have sponsored the ADA Upstate New York Chapter’s ‘Golf FORE Diabetes’ Tournament with a $1,000 donation. The ‘Golf FORE Diabetes’ Tournament was held in June and the proceeds from the golf tournament went towards the ADA to help further their mission and fight against diabetes.
