Albany, New York- The Lia Auto Group was proud to be a sponsor of the 28th annual Siros Cup Fundraiser for the Center of Disabilities held on July 14th, 2021. For over 75 years, the Center for Disability Services has been one of upstate New York’s largest providers of programs and services for individuals who have disabilities.
Center for Disabilities is a not-for-profit Corporation that annually provides programs and services to thousands of individuals ranging from infants to senior citizens, and their families living with all types of disabilities. They provide services for over 300 different diagnoses of disabilities included Cerebral Palsy, developmental disabilities, Multiple Sclerosis, Autism Spectrum disorders, epilepsy, spina bifida, TBI and Down syndrome. From intensive medical care to residential services, to dental care to mental health, the individuals we support can have it all managed through the Center.
The Center is committed to the well being of the people they support, while providing opportunities which lead to more independent lifestyles and productive, happier lives. The unofficial start of the Saratoga track season always starts the night before with Siro’s Cup, a major fundraiser for the Center for Disability Services at Siro’s Restaurant in Saratoga Springs, NY. This year Lia donated $2,500 toward the annual fundraiser. The fundraising party, held on the eve of opening day at the Saratoga Race Course, included light fare, a silent auction, and presentation ceremony honoring the 2021 Siro's Cup Honorees- Mary Lou Whitney (posthumously) and Chef Tom Dillon (posthumously) and recognizing the 2020 Siro's Cup Awardees-Tiz the Law, Sackatoga Stable, Jack Knowlton, Barclay Tagg, Robin Smullin, Heather Smullin and Manny Franco.
